One of the core focal points in our corporate partnership programs is on leveraging women leadership for sustainable WASH transformation. Through our programs we create pathways for women’s empowerment, economic upliftment, and community resilience, by collaborating with local with Self-Help Groups (SHGs).

We work closely with SHGs to build both skills and confidence, enabling women to take up active roles in improving WASH standards in their communities. Through structured training and capacity-building programs, women are equipped to become community educators, hygiene ambassadors, and local entrepreneurs.
A key aspect of our programs is the creation of livelihood opportunities rooted in WASH and sustainability. Women are trained in producing low-cost sanitary pads, reusable cloth pads, hygiene kits, and IEC materials: resources that not only support community wellbeing but also offer SHGs an avenue for steady income. By linking local production with school programs, awareness campaigns, and community outreach, ESF ensures that both impact and economic benefit reach those who need it most.

Beyond skill development, we also provide continuous handholding support through financial literacy, quality management, product marketing, and access to institutional buyers. This strengthens SHGs from within, enabling them to operate sustainably and independently even after the project lifecycle ends.
