Through storytelling & culturally relevant messages, we ensure that awareness converts into action
Inspiring Better Hygiene Through Games & Storytelling
We believe that lasting change in Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) begins with one small step: awareness. Awareness speaks to the heart, inspires the mind, and empowers action.
Our Behaviour Change Communication (BCC) approach uses games, comics, and creative learning materials to build awareness regarding real-life sanitation and hygiene challenges. Through relatable characters and community-cantered stories, these comics empower school students and their families to take ownership of hygiene practices and become changemakers in their schools and neighbourhoods.
My Toilet, My Responsibility

My Toilet, My Responsibility teaches children that clean toilets are everyone’s responsibility. It follows the story of school students who team up to defeat the “Germomonster” and in that process learn the importance of maintaining their toilets with care, turning hygiene education into a collective habit. Used widely in our WASH in Schools programs, this comic fosters a sense of respect and responsibility for shared spaces, making school sanitation both a practical and moral lesson.
Medha’s Carefree Days

Medha’s Carefree Days tells the story of Medha, a young girl learning to manage her period safely and confidently- without shame or stigma. The comic is part of our Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) initiatives and is used in awareness sessions across schools and self-help groups. It helps normalize conversations about menstruation, fosters gender equality and promotes sustainable menstrual practices as well as women empowerment.
The New Normal For Raju and Mini

After the COVID-19 pandemic, return to school life came with new challenges and lessons. Through The New Normal for Raju and Mini, children learn about sanitation practices that are relevant even today, beyond the pandemic, including: handwashing, mask use, and maintaining hygiene in everyday life. The comic has become a vital resource in our post-pandemic awareness campaigns in schools and continues to promote hygiene education as an act of care and community responsibility.
Snakes & Ladder

Inspired by the classic Snakes and Ladders game, this interactive tool helps children learn good hygiene habits in a fun and engaging way. Each ladder rewards positive actions: like handwashing, using toilets properly, and keeping their surroundings clean, while snakes gently remind them of the consequences of unsafe practices. Simple, visual, and easy to play, the game has become a favourite in our WASH in School programs, turning everyday hygiene into an enjoyable habit and encouraging children to make responsible choices for themselves and their communities.
Bal Panchayat

The Bal Panchayat is a child-led council designed to instill ownership, responsibility, and collective leadership among students for maintaining clean and functional school toilets. This activity enables students to children come together to discuss sanitation challenges, assign responsibilities, and monitor hygiene practices within their school. By giving them a voice and a platform to act, Bal Panchayat transforms them from passive users into active custodians of their WASH facilities. The activity is widely used in our programs to nurture teamwork, problem-solving, and accountability, ensuring that the clean infrastructure provided by us is further cared for and sustained through student-led stewardship.
